On Thursday 8th September 2011 The Grange Hotel in Bootham, a fine regency townhouse, renowned for top quality food and service to match, is holding a wine tasting dinner. The wines will be presented by Peter Fawcett of Field & Fawcett Wine Merchants & Delicatessen. Guests will be able to sample some of the wines produced by Painted Wolf Wines, an exciting and dynamic, innovative South African wine company. Founded by Jeremy and Emma Borg in 2007 and drawing inspiration from the African Wild Dog, the company is primarily interested in the production of wines from the Chenin Blanc and Pinotage grapes with a distinctive South African feel. They actively support the conservation of African Wild Dogs with funds from every bottle going towards the conservation of this endangered species.
Arrival glass of wine, 3 course dinner with coffee and a glass of wine with each course for an excellent £24.95 per guest.
As well as having beautifully decorated bedrooms, conference and private dining facilities the 4 star Grange Hotel has two excellent restaurants; The Ivy Brasserie with 2 AA Rosettes featuring a menu of brasserie classics created from the finest freshest seasonal ingredients and The New York Grill, located in the hotel’s original brick vaulted cellars, serving a range of fabulous steaks and grills in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
