THE GRANGE HOTEL IN LIST OF WORLD’S TOP 100 HOTELS
The Grange Hotel in York is delighted to be included in The Sunday Times Travel Magazine’s Top 100 Hotels in the World.
The Grange, an elegant country house hotel located within a few minutes’ walk of York Minster, is well established as one of the top hotels in York and is regarded as one of the finest hotels in England.
To be amongst the world’s top 100 is a real tribute to the privately owned award winning hotel. Other hotels included are The Connaught in London, the Post Ranch Inn in California, and the Hermitage Bay, Antigua.
The Grange is a classic Grade ii listed property built in the 1830s. It was bought by Jeremy and Vivien Cassel in 1989, at which time the building was virtually derelict, and converted into a luxury hotel, opening for business in 1990.
Fabulous antique oil paintings, period piece furnishings, rich drapes, deep comfy sofas and roaring fires can be found throughout the hotel. All 36 bedrooms are individually furnished and designed. Six new bedrooms have separate walk-in showers and waterproof 17” LCD televisions at the foot of the double ended baths.
