 I had a 1 night stay at your hotel on 1 Feb due to the fact I was visiting a customer in York and I am based down near Heathrow Airport. 

I must compliment you on your staff's service. Nothing was too much trouble and their courtesy shown to me during my stay (and indeed beforehand, in the form of a courtesy call to ensure I had a dinner reservation in place) was second to none and I was most impressed throughout.

 I would like to take the opportunity to thank you again for a lovely stay.  I made our booking on line through your website as you offered the best room rates.  I rather cheekily asked if it was possible to have a room upgrade and you very kindly arranged this for us so instead of having a standard double room we stayed in the 4 poster room (36) which was a lovely treat. I must comment on the staff; all of whom took the time to speak, made us feel very welcome and were very pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is great and we will definitely stay with you again next time we are in York.

 We would especially like to thank the staff in the American Grill restaurant who were exceptional in terms of the service from the guy serving and from the chefs who took time to listen to details of my wife’s allergies and then created something for her. We have stayed in many, many hotels and eaten in thousands of restaurants and I can honestly say that the service from your staff and the quality of the food was right up there.

We both just wanted to thank yourself and the staff at the Grange Hotel for all their efforts during our recent stay and wedding in York. Our rooms were very good, particularly mine and Trevor's, and the food we ate at the Grange was wonderful -the sandwiches and tea on our arrival, our breakfast and our wedding reception. All the staff we have come into contact with have been pleasant, polite and helpful.

Everyone needs to experience this hotel, the staff, and the wonderful dining at least once!! It was fantastic. From the minute we arrived I realised staying with you would be a special treat! The front desk staff were very warm and welcomed us sincerely. Each meal was an absolute delight. The service second to none.
I can honestly say being somewhat well travelled, I have never, ever had a more pleasant stay in a hotel!!

Last night at The Grange was once again a delightful interlude in a rather busy week and I appreciate the calm and comfort that the hotel provides.

I was also very happy to see that internet access is now free as it is one of my real bug bears when we have to pay for something that has essentially become a free commodity.

Dinner in the bar last night was superb, the staff friendly and delightful.  I would possibly suggest a wider range of wines by the glass.

Breakfast was very nice and again the staff very professional.  I would suggest more on the buffet like a wider selection of fruits, yoghurt and pastries."

"What a great hotel! It makes such a refreshing change to find a hotel with quality and personality - a 'proper hotel'! We stayed a night when collecting our daughter from University recently and really enjoyed our stay.
