I want to thank you for your help in arranging our family Christmas lunch.  The food was really good, and the presenation beautiful.  My family from overseas were very impressed by the elegant rooms, especially the drawing room; they thought is was "just how we imagine old English houses to have looked at Christmas time"!  I would especially like to thank the reception and the dining room staff, who were so attentive and helpful.  All in all it was a lovely treat for us.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Grange to others visiting York.
We had a wonderful weekend stay (despite the awful weather!). The Grange had a lovely atmosphere and elegant interiors, and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. We slept extremely well - thanks to the wonderfully quiet location of our ground-floor room and the exceptionally comfortable bed - and we made the most of our 'seating area' with its two very comfortable armchairs. I just wanted to say what I fantastic stay we had yet again at the weekend.  We’ve stayed 3 times at your hotel now (usually about every 6 months) and we can honestly say how pleased we are to have found your hotel.  The rooms are immaculate, the staff courteous and the fact that it’s within 5 – 10 mins walking distant from the wall is fantastic for us. Your food is 2nd to none and the whole ambience o the hotel leaves you feeling like you’ve had full rest and relaxation when you leave.  I can’t recommend you enough to family and friends – if we could stay more often then believe me we would!!! We really enjoyed our stay, the room was spacious and clean, the 4 poster lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food, breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. We also dined in the grill downstairs, the food was again excellent. It makes a change to get your steak the way you ask for it. We were attending a dinner and decided it best to stay overnight. We’re really glad we did I have to say – we would hate to have missed out! I would like to say, the level of service, the members of staff, the food, the room and the hotel itself were nothing short of exceptional.. We’ve certainly never been to a hotel where we had a phone call from reception within half an hour of us going into our room, to ask if everything was satisfactory.. And later on, a personal visit to ask if we needed more towels or anything. It’s thoughtful gestures like that which put you head and shoulders above the rest. The food was top notch - both the dinner and the breakfast. Both served by the most friendly, capable, helpful staff.
 
So thank you very much - we thoroughly enjoyed all the aspects of our stay. A bonus was of course the very welcome sunshine! I will be delighted to bookmark your website in my Favourites list!!

While we stayed at two high end properties in London, our most positive experience was at The Grange Hotel. The hotel was very charming and our room was large and cheerful. The restaurants and parlor were lovely and relaxing. Our breakfast was delicious. But what made the experience really great was your porter, Dave. He was so nice and helpful. If we ever come back to York, we would stay at The Grange and recommend it to others.

I must comment on the staff; all of whom took the time to speak, made us feel very welcome and were very pleasant and helpful. Everyone needs to experience this hotel, the staff, and the wonderful dining at least once!! It was fantastic. From the minute we arrived I realised staying with you would be a special treat! The front desk staff were very warm and welcomed us sincerely. Each meal was an absolute delight. The service second to none.
I can honestly say being somewhat well travelled, I have never, ever had a more pleasant stay in a hotel!!

We were very pleased with every aspect of The Grange Hotel.  Your property was the best of all of the Inns and Hotels that we utilized during our month-long vacation to the British Isles.  We greatly appreciated the upgraded room which was made available to us.  We found it well-appointed.  The bed was comfortable.  The bathroom was spectacular.  Everything was clean and appeared well-cared-for.
